Ezra Taft Benson's Political Prophecies and Invitations

I have had many interesting conversations since my last post about Obama.

The only thing I will say is this, I believe in our heart of hearts, each of us is trying to do the best we can with what we know and understand, what we value and how we rank those values when it comes to our political arena in the US. Politics is ugly, compromising, frustrating and exhausting at best. However, it is a necessary game in government. Although, there never seems to be "the one" out there that hits a home run on my radar personally. Ron Paul did come close--I wish that he had had more support.

My own opinion is that no matter what President is in office, we will not really and truly know what kind of President s/he will be for at least a year or two, maybe three. I have no expectations for the future except one...

The Second Coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will likely be in my lifetime.

I want to be ready, with my lamp trimmed and my oil in hand, my stance alert and my eyes wide in anticipation. There is only one thing that will stand in my way at the end of the day, it will be myself; procrastination in repentance and preparation for the bridegroom. It is the same for every single one of us. Sooner than later is better than never.

Upon further reflection of government & politics in general, I found some additional videos on youtube.com of President Benson's remarks and prophecies regarding our government system, its current standing in the 70's and future warnings.

This particular video is amazing...though there are many others...

Please take the time to watch, reflect and ponder his words of power and promise.
Though it has obvious support for notable Presidential Contestant Ron Paul, it is critical to understand our prophets, past and present, stance on policy and government.

As I stated in my previous post, may our President(s) preserve the divinely inspired Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights, and may we all choose righteousness for all over evil for a few. I pray that the years of plenty that President Hinckley foretold over 7 years ago are not lost to this land and its people until the Millennium, but may it be according to the Lord's will and may we all be ready to rise to our positions in His Royal Army each and every day--building up His perfect Kingdom here on Earth to welcome Him.
